Match Date: 25 September 2016
Bearsted welcomed kennington FC to Honey lane for the first round of the Kent Cup.
Today was and will be a good learning curve for Bearsted having gone in at half time 3-0 down after goals that could have been so easily been avoided.
The only good spell for Bearsted was the first 15 minutes of the second half where they managed to pull back 2 goals from Billy Easby and James Hursey and for the first time looked like the old Bears, Josh Ladlow had a great strike from outside the box stopped at the bottom corner that would have levelled up the game. Kennington kept pressing and eventually took back control of the match by scoring the next goal making it 4-2. The Bearsted heads just got lower and lower and Kennington took full advantage and scored a following 4 goals to make the final score 8-2 Kennington.
A bad day at the office and one they will learn from very quickly.
Man of the Match; James Hursey.
Chin up lads!!!!
