Under 16's KYL vs Langton Green

Match Date: 17 September 2017
Score: 1-6

Bearsted had their first home game against Langton Green today at Honey Lane.
They started the game with three key players out because of injury and with just one sub it was going to be a good test of character for them all.

The game kicked off and BFC controlled most of the play and competed well pressing hard, LG defended well and wasn’t going to sit back with this game. BFC eventually after 35 mins broke down the right and Matt Morse smashed a great cross in for Jake Bates to slot home to make it 1-0 Bearsted. Half time came and the score remained at 1-0 with BFC showing some real spirit and determination.

Then the second half kicked off and it just went horribly wrong for BFC as Langton got a lucky rebound to slot home an equaliser within 2 mins of starting the half and then almost immediately after they scored again before BFC could reshape and settle to make it 2-1. Then after two silly errors from BFC they allowed LG to punish them and the game eventually finished 6-1 as BFC couldn’t get their heads back in the game.

A serious example of two halves and how BFC could control and lead in the first but then fall to pieces in the second half.
