Under 16's KYL vs Herne Bay

Match Date: 01 October 2017
Score: 5-0

Bearsted FC welcomed Herne Bay to Honey lane for the first round of the Causeway Steel challenge cup.

The game kicked off and Bearsted had something to prove now with the return of injured payers, and they certainly proved they could play some great football with total control of the game from the start. It was good to see George Hall back today who worked his socks off and put the HB back four under some real pressure and through hard work and determination scored the opener 1-0 BFC.

Then after some great one touch football Charlie Roberts another one back from injury hit a great shot from outside the box that smashed the post and went it to make it 2-0 BFC. Charlie then managed to get on the end of a corner from Callum Rollings and slotted it home to make it 3-0 BFC. He didn’t stop there and once again Gilbert, Ladlow and Rollings linked up with some good possession and got the ball out to Charlie just inside the 18yrd box where he unleashed a bullet into the roof of the net to make it 4-0 BFC and his hatrick!!!!

It was good to see the boys buzzing and defensively looked solid throughout the game. Jacob Houston managed to get on the end of a George Hall through ball to slot it home to make it 5-0 BFC.

Half time came and the boys had shown some great spirit and played some fantastic football.

The second half BFC camped in HB half peppering their goal but after a change of goalkeeper HB managed to somehow keep a clean sheet and the game finished 5-0 BFC.

Great all round performance from all the boys.

Man of the Match: Charlie Roberts.

Keep up the good work boys!!!
