Under 16's KYL vs Real 60 Youth

Match Date: 07 January 2018
Score: 10 -1

Bearsted travelled to Borstal to face Real 60 Youth in the Kent County Cup. The wind and cold made the condition extremely difficult for both teams but at least it stayed dry.

The game kicked off and BFC had already replaced their goal keeper and centre back prior to starting due to injuries. This was the debut game for Louie Long recently signed from Maidstone as a Striker who linked up with George Hall as BFC set up with two up top. The first goal came after 15 minutes from a Louie cross that Jake Bates who calmly side footed into the net to make it 1-0 BFC. Then a few moments later Bradley Richards calmly dropped a shoulder and poke the ball home to make it 2-0. BFC were managing the game comfortably and switched off for one second and after a mix up at the back Real 60 managed to score a goal and punish the mistake 1-2 R60Y. This woke the boys up and they soon realised they couldn’t afford to switch off and pressed harder. Just before half time Louie Long got the ball about 20 yards out turned his player and hit a belter into the top corner to make it 3-1 BFC.

The second half kicked off and BFC began to control the game even better with the wind behind them, after working his socks off George Hall won the ball on the edge of the area and hit a powerful diagonal ball into the inside of the net to make it 4-1 BFC. Then they really cranked the pace up and Louie Long stepped up and scored a further 3 cracking goals coming form good position play and great communications between the boys. This took the score line to 7-1 BFC.
The next goal came from Jacob Houston who came from the right and smashed a well taken goal into the top corner to make it 8-1 BFC, Matt Morse also got on the score sheet with a well struck shot from just inside the box and the keeper had no chance with the speed that it went in to make it 9-1 BFC. Then finally after some fantastic link up play again Louie played a great unselfish pass to Jacob Houston who chipped it into the back of the net to make the game end 10-1 Bearsted FC.
