Following its’ conclusion Bearsted could only think back in amazement as to how they did not manage to win this game with a style providing both dominance and possession for much of the match. However they were to go behind after just 6 minutes when Stefan Wright picked up the ball on the edge of the area to send in a half connected shot which somehow eluded keeper Kit Warner and find its’ way into the net. Fortunately for them though, Bearsted maintained their shape and approach and levelled the scoring soon after when a D.Baranowski dribble took him into the box to steer the ball home past keeper the diving Michael Mcentagary. Four minutes later they were to go in front when Lucien Scarlat fed the ball to Cameron Croucher to send in a low cross for the incoming Constantine Scarlat to send the ball home from close range. Indeed the momentum of play pretty well remained the same against opponents finding it very difficult to create genuine chances. However just before half time they managed an equaliser from the spot when the referee awarded a penalty against home keeper Warner much to the amazement of most spectators and the glee of Richards Atkins to send the ball into the net.

The restart after the break began in bright fashion with the visitors enjoying more of the play and notably the wing runs of Shameek Farell were of particular note. That said the expectations of the home side looked more likely as on several occasions they were to go close. Notably when the visiting defenders managed to clear the ball off of the line on 3 consecutive occasions and then when Scarlat found himself in on goal, maintaining his balance hindered by a trip to hit the post. However as the clock ran down so the thought was that Bearsted’s name was on this game which proved to be the case as after 92 minutes when the ball with sent out to Farell to run on and cross onto the head of Jamie Humphis to head home from close range to take home all the points
