First Team vs Glebe

Match Date: 20 April 2019
Score: 0-1

For the first 25 mins of this game the Bears' controlled proceedings with the home side finding it hard to get into the game. Although for all the visitors dominance they did not really cause home keeper Tom Taylor any real problems.
Midway through the first half Glebe slowly started to come into the game but they also didn't create any threat on the Bears' goal. The first half was played out without any drama to report.
Half time 0-0.
The second half got underway in much the same fashion, indeed it wasn't until the 60th min. that we had anything like a goal opportunity when, after a great Bears' passage of play a great ball into the Glebe penalty area was saved by home keeper Taylor, he couldn't keep hold of it , but from close range the Bears' were unable to take advantage and take the lead.

The second half was a more even affair, although both sides weren't creating any real chances.
In fact Glebe's first shot on goal proved to be the turning point, on 72 mins Lee Friend for the home side, found himself with space on the left, he took the ball into the area and planted a fine shot into the back of the visitors net 1-0.
As usual the Bears' battled on and had a goal dis-allowed for an alleged foul on the goal keeper,
this seemed a bit harsh. 1-0 Full time.
Sadly despite having the majority of possession the Bears' never really created enough on the day.
