This certainly was not to be the best of starts for the visitors as after just 4 minutes they were to fall behind, when a free kick from the left to the far post was headed home by Constantine Scarlat. Things though we're to get worse 5 minutes later when Lucian Scarlat seized upon an ill judged back pass to round goalkeeper Mark Powell before sending the ball into the net. However United's response was a positive one as they worked hard to counter the home side's passing movement and mounting attacks of their own with Ijah Currie Wilson and Dane Moore often at the heart of things and with former Bearsted front man Mo Adisa leading the line. Unfortunately on numerous occasions they were to fall victim of the linesman’s offside flag. However also at times they failed to put away the close range chances likely of getting them back into the game.

Following the half time break so Bearsted began to create decent chances, notably when Scarlat sent in a sublime chip onto the post and then when Matt Garner fired narrowly over. In reply though, they had to thank their goalkeeper Scott Andrews for pulling off a great point blank save and avoiding a tense affair as the clock ran down. However such anxiety was to disappear when after 65 minutes when following a goalmouth scramble the ball fell to the incoming Matt Weller to send the ball into the net. Following this goal so Bearsted were to assert more control and were able to introduce 3 substitutes to take the tie through to its' conclusion. This ploy proved to be quiet remarkable as each one of them were able to get their self onto the score sheet in spectacular and in almost identical fashion, first when Peter Williams thrashed the ball into the top corner of net, followed by a curled effort by Alito Peeks before Jack Sellens sent home a stunning shot just before the final whistle.
