Under 16's vs Woodcombe Youth FC

Match Date: 03 February 2019
Score: 8-1

Last time we played Woodcombe, they gave us an early scare and put lots of pressure on the ball. Tactically, we were prepared for that this time around, responding by having 5 players in midfield (including a strong triangle in the middle and composed wide players.
It was very satisfying to see it work perfectly, as we popped the ball around in possession and their players tired quickly.

Daz Tzanakikis looped the ball over to Presley Vidler-Hilden; from 10 yards, he doesn't miss.
Presley then earned himself a round of applause from both sets of spectators by sliding to retrieve a loose ball, side-stepping a player with a feint and passing the ball 35 yards precisely onto the toe of Jack Vening, who slotted the ball inside the near post.
To complete the trilogy, Jack then swung in a killer cross to Daz, whose vicious shot made the net bulge.

Energised and giving the defenders no time on the ball, Daz nicked possession and shot, forcing the goalie to parry into the path of Presley, who finished with aplomb.
Sam Hill joined the action by dribbling from box-to-box, through 6 opponents, before setting up Daz for a tap-in.

Bearsted were popping passes around, lending the ball to one another comfortably through the match - always-composed Dom Hatley walked the ball out of defence before finding Sam Hill, who scored a fantastic individual effort.

In the dying moments of the game, it seemed that Bearsted were not content with 6-1...they found time for Sam to assist Daz once more and Daz to find Jolyon Lee in space inside the box. The rest is history!
