Under 18's KYL vs Greenwich FC

Match Date: 11 November 2018
Score: 6-1

Bearsted managed to get the game on today despite the heavy rain all weekend. They welcomed Greenwich to Honey lane for their first league match together.

The game kicked off and Bearsted looked the stronger team controlling the game with some great link up play and quality of passing. After 10 mins Connor Heasman smashed home a rebounded shot off the Greeenwich keeper to make it 1-0 BFC. Greenwich never dropped off and still managed to get goal side of the BFC defence and if it wasn’t for a great save from Kit Warner may have bought the game level. However Bearsteds’s quality of play created some good chances and then after Joel Lakes shot deflected to Josh Ladlow he then fired it home for the second to make it 2-0 BFC. Jordan Ababio was back on form and after a fantastic run that beat his defender he slotted home the ball from 18yrds out to make it 3-0. The boys started to really ping the ball around and just on the stroke of Half time Charlie Allen stepped up and scored a free kick from 25yrds out which made the game 4-0 at half time.

The second half saw Bearsted press hard and again create many chances but was frustrating to see them not being converted, until 15 mins in from a corner Fraser Daniels headed home a great effort to make it 5-0 BFC. Once again Greenwich never stopped and eventually won a penalty that they hit straight down the middle to make it 1-5 Greenwich. This made the boys up their game after a scrappy 15 minute spell go the game back in their control which lead to Jordan Ababio beating his marker and then from the tightest of angles managed to smash the ball in the roof of the net to make it 6-1 BFC. The game finished at 6-1 a well deserved result.

Well played lads!!
