From the off Crowbrough started in a positive fashion and really should have gone in front when Jordan Harrison found him in on goal only to see his effort go narrowly wide. However Bearsted were the team to make a breakthrough after 8 minutes Ryan Croucher sent James Bessey-Saldanha down the right to cut in on goal to send the ball low past Cameron Hall. This strike did prove to have significant effect and 6 minutes later the hosts, in similar fashion to the first, was able to seize the moment to increase the lead when Bessey-Saldanha was to score once more. The visitors although not yet quite out of the game still battled well with the efforts of Ola Akinwanda and Luke Leppard being of particular note. Unfortunately for them though they were to go further behind after 23 minutes when David Baronowski was able to capitalise on a close range opportunity to add another. Another blow did however come their way when they suffered by having maybe a somewhat harsh penalty being awarded against them, but much to their relief the spot kick was thundered against the upright by Bessey-Saldanha as half time approached and seeing them still being in possible to save the game in the second half.
Following the break so things remained somewhat the same and after 52 minutes Saldanha was on hand to head home from close range when receiving the perfect cross from the left by Mateusz Wlodarczyk. In reply to this Harrison was able to find himself once more on goal and force a great save from Scott Andrews. However after 56 minutes he was at last get his reward but unfortunately for him and his side there was to be a great disappointment as very soon after as he had to leave the field after suffering a hamstring injury. With the game now reaching a conclusion so the result was to be put beyond all doubt when the home side were awarded another penalty which Lucian Scarlat despatched in emphatic style and after 80 minutes Baronowski latched onto the ball to score and seal the game.
