First Team vs Tunbridge Wells

Match Date: 08 September 2020
Score: 4-0

Bearsted started this game on the front foot, attacking from the off, causing the home side back, and on a couple of occasions could have taken the lead.
Unfortunately for the Bears this would soon change when after a long punt forward into the Bears half wasn't dealt with, an under hit back pass to the Bears keeper was intercepted by Matt Day who converted to give the Wells a 1-0 lead on their first venture into the Bears half!
!-0 8 mins.
This didn't stop the Bears who continued their attacking game and creating numerous more chances, although the quality of the finishing didn't match the excellent approach play.
The game changer came when an awful refereeing decision was awarded to The Wells and
Robbie Bissett scored to put the home side 2-0 up. 38 mins.
Sadly David Baranowski was rendered badly injured by a very questionable late off the ball challenge, which fortunately for the offender, the officials had not seen, David was left horizontal on the ground receiving treatment for 20 mins, forcing the referee to end the half 5 mins early.
The second half was much the same with the Bears passing style contrasting to the, on the break style, long ball of the home side It has to be said that during this half both sides were guilty of some poor finishing, but with The Bears throwing everything forward the home side grabbed two goals in the final minutes when Josh Froggatt grabbed a brace 88 and 90 mins.
I do think this was a rather flattering result but hey-ho.
