First Team vs Whyteleafe

Match Date: 12 September 2020
Score: 0-4

Sadly, The Bears' reinstatement into the F.A. cup was short lived, after coming up against a side from the higher level Isthmian League South.
Whyteleafe started lively, getting the ball forward quickly and looking menacing, and it came as no great surprise when on 8 mins Omani Hibbert fired home from the angle of the penalty box to give Scott Andrews no chance 1 - 0.
The home side were now growing in confidence and it wasn't long before Ryan Gondoh increased the lead to 2 - 0 with another great strike on 12 mins

Although the Bears' had been battling from the first whistle it was only now that they began to give the home side something to think about and started to create a few chances of their own, most notably when Jon Rogers fired just over the bar from 20 yards with the home keeper beaten. Whilst the Bears did create another 3 or 4 good chances they couldn't match the quality of the home sides finishing. This was evident again when Zhavi Orome shot home on 40 mins to take the home side into a 3 -0 nil half time lead.
The second half wasn't as good as the first for either side, with little to report, and it was left to Hibbert to grab his second goal on 74 mins to give Whyteleafe a comfortable 4 - 0 win.

Kevin Stevens must be pulling his hair out with these injuries mounting up whilst also trying to bed in his new squad members.
