First Team vs Glebe

Match Date: 31 July 2021
Score: 0-5

Sadly, conceding 2 soft goals in the first 10 mins gave the Bears' a mountain to climb in this first league game of the season.
In fairness to the home side they didn't appear too fazed by this setback and for the following 35 mins had more than their fair share of possession, and the midfield were asking questions of a shaky Glebe defence. The glebe back line with desperate defending and excellent goal keeping managed to keep the Bears' at bay, and in actual fact could have added to their tally as we approached the half time whistle.
Half-time 0 - 2 (Aaron Watson 3, Jamie Philpott 10)

The second period started with the Bears' midfield dominant, but Glebe had other plans, they started to get the ball forward quicker, in doing so bypassing the Bears midfield. This proved to be a smart tactic and in a 12 minute period managed to add three more goals.
Full-time 0 - 5. (Danni Olorunnisomo 55, Jamie MCGeoghegan 61, Jamie Philpott 67)

This was a game with two shaky defences, in fairness to Glebe they were more clinical in exploiting this, although I do think 5 - 0 flattered them they were worthy winners on the day.
