Score: 1-2

The Bears' visited Chatham looking for their first win of the season and they certainly gave it their all. In the first half the Bears' looked the more likely to score, hitting the cross bar twice and the Chats' keeper producing three outstanding saves to keep his side in the game.
Jordan Ababio was the one to break the deadlock when on 30 mins he rifled home from 16 yards to give the Bears a well deserved 0 - 1 lead.
As we got to half time, the Chats' supporters were wondering how they weren't losing by a bigger margin, as were the Bears' travelling fans
Half time 0 - 1.

As so often is the case the visitors were to rue those missed chances.
The home side regrouped at half time and started creating a few half chances of their own and on 58 mins Jon Pilbeam latched on to a loose ball to fire home from 8 yards 1 - 1.
The game now became more stretched but not much happening in the way of goals, the game changer came on 59 mins when Bearsted’s Lekan Majayegbe was sent off after receiving his second yellow card. The Chats' got the winner on 84 mins when Dan Bradshaw
scored following a corner.
