After having not been in action for the past 2 weeks it was the home side that found it more difficult to settle and re-establish some sort of rhythm that had served them so well beforehand. Indeed it was the visitors who took were able to take full advantage of this situation and following some early warnings they were to take the lead after 12mins when Taylor McDonagh were on hand to head home from close range. As play wore on so Bearsted were finding it seemingly very difficult to deal with crosses and the lead was further extended following a series of corners, one of which was finally headed in by Tolu Jonah on 22minutes. In reply, up front the hosts and though occasionallycreated certain threats, they had to be relieved 
to go into half with a great opportunity stay in the game.

Following the break so Bearsted returned in a more positive mood and suddenly were to take up the challenge, during which time on a number they were very unlucky not to put things right as the momentum of the game changed and chances were to come right up until the final whistle. However during this time the visitors were to take advantage of a deep clearance which found Steadman Callender free on the right to run in to score and effectively seal the game one of which was to be somewhat marred by a great deal of theatrics leading to several yellow cards and a sending off. Having said this on the day it was Erith to take the points
